Even though it seems to be dangerous world for Internet and Computers for the one who are not aware, alert or innocent but its not that difficult to save ourselves from these menace.
These are some following steps you need to take care.
- Update / Install your machine with latest Antivirus/Anti spam products.
- Regularly update the antivirus software which is most important ,virus developers are always expert in changing the type and updating the malicious codes in order that your antivirus don’t get its attention towards it thus intruders get successful installation of its code and hence forth DISTRUCTION….
- Do not share your email id to open public areas… means what… means in the web pages which say it will give more information… Web pages which ask you for your email ids for their promotions/ads. These can make your mail ids open and public thus it can reach in the hand of spammers and other notorious guys who can use this to bomb you inboxes with their spam mails. Install a good spam guard and never ever open or read or reply to mails which are of senders who you don’t know, or comes with elusive offers like you have won big amount of money, of free software for you, free or low cost pharmacy product for you, or a free blonde hot one for you and to satisfy you.
- Do not visit to un trusted websites which asks your personal information’s and credit card or bank details. Also when visiting to your mail ids have look on the website. Whether it’s having proper protection status, see the address bar, whether it’s the web address starts with https this means the website you are viewing and information which you are passing are on secure line. Almost all the trusted general websites like Yahoo, Google, AOL, and Hotmail have this feature which makes sure that our data what ever it is getting encrypted and is secure. Also you can check the website certificate ,this you can see below right side corner near the taskbar a LOCK Symbol
- Never reveal your passwords to any mail as reply. Normally no mail providers ask for your information through mails. If you have got any thing like this then you can sure that it’s a phisher.
